These miniature pies by @sweetsbykeeks were so adorable 🥺 Miniature anything makes my heart happy! Keep scrolling for more, including @candyapple_cakes’ intricately detailed fondant bread on the cake! 🥐🥖🍞

Next, take a few steps back to admire this picturesque patisserie & bakery, envisioned and impressively executed by my friend @whiteblossomevents. Would you believe me if I told you this was set up in a parking lot?! 🤫 I took photos at every angle to make sure the cars in the background wouldn’t show up in the window reflection! 🤭Forever in awe of my talented colleagues and the amount of work that they do behind the scenes. 💕

Lately it’s been rare for me to see events with bold colors like these, but WOW do they make an impact! Sally of @prettylittleevents and @milieuflorals used every color of the rainbow in such a creative way. The end result is like a warm, cheery blast of color. 🌈

A square or vertical crop wouldn’t have done these photos justice, so I had to go with horizontal to show you the full effect 🤩 Happy birthday Riley! 🎉

Wedding planning tip: If you have options for your getting ready location, choose the one with the most natural light for the best photos. Sometimes that’s the venue; other times it’s your own living room. ☺️ In this case, @dublinranchgolf’s floor-to-ceiling bay windows were a dream come true for lighting Shereen’s bridal portraits. Not only was the room overflowing with bright sunlight; the walls were a perfect clean slate for studio-like images! ✨

Yesterday was our anniversary and we spent the day

Yesterday was our anniversary and we spent the day lazing around, running errands, and taking care of our little dictator. We’re tired. Parenthood is exhausting. No fancy dinner, but a shrimp truck on Maui is a pretty solid meal. 😉🍤

Five years ago on July 1st, we said “I do” in Haiku - not the poetry form, but a quaint, tropical village on the north shore of Maui. The island is near and dear to our hearts for many reasons; it feels surreal to be back with our daughter.* ❤️

I’ve done a terrible job of sharing our wedding photos on social media, which is a shame because I’m obsessed with them! Very excited to share many of these for the first time. Our venue @haikumill overflowed with natural beauty and our photographers @greatromancephoto did a phenomenal job capturing every little detail. It was truly a dream come true for a vendor-turned-bride like me, who had been daydreaming of my own wedding day for years and years after witnessing so many couples tie the knot. It’s hard to describe how magical it is to celebrate a new chapter of life surrounded by your family and friends. Instead of me trying to describe it… just watch the last slide. ✨

To Garrick - my personal chef, trip planner, handyman, household manager, & baby daddy - I’m so blessed to be married to you. I know you’ll always take care of our family. I love you and the life we’ve made together. Happy anniversary!

*It’ll take a little convincing to get her to feel the same way… she’s asked to go home about 20 times so far 😆

These photos made my heart skip a beat. 🥺 I’ve been trying to figure out… what is it about them that made me feel that way? Maybe it’s her smile - playful, genuine, and inquisitive. Or maybe it’s the shape of that dress, slightly too big on her petite 22 lb frame.

Or maybe that’s just what happens when you adore a tiny human. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My baby is now 2.5 years old! I love her more each day. 💕

I took these at a recent photographer meet up hosted by @photographerssocial ☺️ The organizers created the group to connect local photographers who might not otherwise get a chance to meet. Everyone brought their cameras and had fun networking/taking photos of each other; I spent most of the time chasing after this cheeky little one. 😅 We were lucky enough to be photographed by a few of the attendees and I’m excited to share the results in the near future! #photographerssocial
