I'm so happy you're here. I'm Fern - photographer, Bay Area native, SoCal resident, & mother of two. I've been taking photos professionally for 16 years, honing my craft through years and years of practice. That being said, there is always something new to learn and I hope I always continue to grow as an artist and professional.
My approach to photography is all about ease. I want your experience to be as stress-free as possible, from your initial inquiry to your delivered gallery. Clients appreciate my warm and easygoing demeanor; if you feel comfortable, your photos will reflect that.
When I'm not capturing memories for clients, you'll find me enjoying dessert (chocolate chip cookies are my weakness), styling vignettes in my home, playing the violin to BTS songs, or planning the next birthday party for my family.
random facts about me:
- I am fascinated by the Myers-Briggs type indicator and love asking people about their type.
- The highlight of my four years in high school was being a member of the marching band.
- My husband and I met on Xanga, the blogging community.
- Studying abroad in Tokyo was one of the most challenging, eye-opening, and rewarding experiences of my life. To this day, Japan is still my favorite country to visit.
- My favorite fast food is Taco Bell.
- After getting married, my husband and I lived in Kula, Maui - a lush and surprisingly chilly little town on the way up to Haleakala National Park.
- I gave both my daughters middle names that are plants (inspired by my own name).
